Welcome to the International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association (IFSA) website and services. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://ifsafreeride.org/ (the “Website”), as well as your participation in IFSA memberships, events, and programs.
By accessing or using our Website, registering for membership, participating in competitions, or engaging with IFSA services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Website or participate in our programs.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Website or any IFSA services, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, including our Privacy Policy and any other policies or guidelines referenced herein.
2. Membership and Participation
2.1. Eligibility:
- Membership and participation in IFSA-sanctioned events are subject to specific eligibility criteria, including age, skill level, and adherence to IFSA rules and regulations. These criteria are detailed in our official handbooks (e.g., Junior Series Handbook, Qualifier Series Handbook) and event guidelines, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
- For junior athletes, parental or legal guardian consent is required for membership and event participation.
2.2. Membership Obligations:
- As an IFSA member, you agree to abide by the IFSA Code of Conduct, event rules, safety guidelines, and all other policies published by IFSA.
- Membership is a privilege, not a right, and can be revoked for violations of IFSA policies.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated.
2.3. Assumption of Risk:
- Freeride skiing and snowboarding are inherently dangerous activities that involve significant risks, including but not limited to serious injury, paralysis, or death.
- By participating in IFSA-sanctioned events or programs, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities, whether foreseen or unforeseen.
- You agree to execute any required waivers, releases, and assumption of risk agreements as a condition of participation in IFSA events.
3. Website Use
3.1. Content and Intellectual Property:
- All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, competition results, rankings, and software, is the property of IFSA or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise use any content from the Website without the prior written consent of IFSA.
- The IFSA name, logo, and other trademarks used on the Website are trademarks of IFSA and may not be used without permission.
3.2. Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to:
- Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms.
- Interfere with the proper working of the Website or bypass any measures we may use to prevent or restrict access to the Website.
- Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair IFSA’s servers or networks.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IFSA, its directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Website or IFSA services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Website; (iii) any content obtained from the Website; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.
