The International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association (IFSA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the sanctioning body for freeride competition across North and South America. Founded in 1996 by freeskiing pioneer Shane McConkey and Lhotse Merriam Hawk, IFSA was built to serve athletes, with their needs at the core. Today, IFSA advances the sport of freeride by sanctioning junior and adult competitions, supporting athlete development, and upholding the highest standards of safety, integrity, and progression.
