How long we’ve been around

The International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association (IFSA) was founded in 1996 by Shane McConkey, a pioneer in freeskiing. Over the years, we’ve grown into a world-class athlete-owned organization — bringing together freeride athletes, coaches, and fans under a shared mission. From humble beginnings to a global community, we’ve upheld innovation, inclusion, and passion ever since.
