One Freeride Family: Alaska to Patagonia
You might be hearing rumors that freeride could be headed to the Olympics. Nothing is decided, and we’re in no rush, but it’s a possibility we wanted to share with you first.
We’ve seen how this can go. When surfing joined the Olympics, it didn’t lose what made it special, it simply welcomed a whole new generation. Freeride could be on a similar path.
Whatever comes next, one thing stays the same: we’re more than a freeride governing body, we’re a family. From athletes dropping into their line and the parents cheering at the bottom of the venue, to the coaches and volunteers, and everyone watching around the world: our community is what makes every event special.
Since our founding, we’ve put athletes first. That will never change.
IFSA is the nonprofit that governs competitive freeride across the Americas, and we’re home to the largest junior freeride community in the world.
For 30 years, we’ve built this sport with passion, professionalism, and most importantly, a commitment to helping athletes progress. Everything we do begins and ends with our athletes.
